The Trains.com Store announces its biggest Milwaukee, Racine & Troy boxcar release to date! Weāve partnered with Tangent Scale Models to offer a Greenville Steel Car Co. 86-foot high-cube, double-plug-door boxcar. The HO scale model is based on full-size cars used to transport auto parts.
The ready-to-run boxcar uses injection-molded plastic construction and has wire grab irons; see-through, etched-metal end crossover platforms; flexible rubber air hoses; and Kadee scale couplers. Additional features include Barber S-2 roller-bearing trucks with rotating bearing caps, separate brake beam detail, and 36ā metal wheelsets. The boxcar has a suggested minimum radius of 24ā.Ā
The model is painted bright red with silver doors. The car (era: August 1973+) features printed Automatic Car Identification labels, single panel lube plates, and excess height warnings on the sides and ends. The boxcar is stenciled āWhen empty return to agent MR&T RR Milwaukee, Wisc. via reverse routeā on both sides.Ā
